I normally wear a 42R (sometimes 43R if it can be found) and ordered a 46 in the cardigan. the 44 was way too tight (especially over say a button down) and also a little short (I'm 6'2").- Jason Kadushin

I heard that too, then called around and wasn't able to find a single retailer who recommended that. You probably could get away with it if you found something in your size at a good price. but if you are going to order and pay a "regular" price I'd stick to your regular size.- Jason Kadushin
