    @Phalanx - Im guessing Baker's assumed a resole would fix the squeak. Often times it will but not always. The $450 number is likely a rebuild which will have to be fwd'd over to White's(Bakers does not rebuild in house). That includes new vamps, etc so you may consider alternate leathers...

    These were sent to Baker’s at the same time as the above resole. They were ASTM-13 Steel Toe work boots in Distressed Smooth. White’s rebuilt them with Red Dog R/O and soft toe. Took them down a width from E to D as well.

    All the names are very confusing. What matters is the last which is kind of like a mannequin you see in a department store. They wrap the leather/build the boot around the last. Each last has a unique proportion/shape (high or low arch, wide forefoot, larger toe box, etc). All the confusing...

    Who quoted that price? Nicks does a MTO repair for $339. Franks rebuild is $320. Don't know about White's as I have not been happy with their rebuild or resole service. I just sent 2 pairs off to Baker's. 1 Rebuild, 1 Resole. Their prices are inline with the former. I had a pair of MP's...

    @illumin8em - I have a pair of White's LTT's with steel toe. Very comfortable. Perhaps my most comfortable pair of works I own out of many.

    Beautiful belt. I have a 1.75" one too in Brown work leather. It's crazy burly.. makes all my other belts look/feel flimsy. In hindsight I should have chosen their 1.5" width. The 1.75" is difficult to slide through belt loops, ESPECIALLY when youre tucking the end in (doubled up).
