I wore a Patagonia vest today (just to avoid the London chill) with a bespoke denim shirt, high waisted linen trousers and Carmina loafers.
Other days it will be a canvassed suit, tie and loafers. Just depends.

I just bought a length of the 11oz W.Bill linen in a nice tobacco brown shade (ref 60260). Will be made up into a shirt jacket/safari jacket. It really is very nice.
But otherwise as suggested Baird McNutt is really good stuff if they have the shade that you are after. I have their swatch book...
I never understand what people are to wear instead in a work environment such as Goldmans?
A suit without a tie looks pretty poor. And if you go as far as wearing a suit, you might as well wear a tie.
Chinos and a shirt? Looks too far on the casual scale for me.
