    I believe that all boots break in to a certain degree. If they feel good now, with no issues, they will only get better. I’d keep them and add exactly what you want later.     I agree, those laces could be pulled tighter. The leather will loosen up a bit and you will then be able to pull even tighter. That’s just from my experience with new work type boots.

    I thank you. I have found my answer already. All is good. From what I gather the two manufacturers are a close match. A 10d in Whites should be close to a 10d in Lofgrens engineers. My order is placed, it is now a waiting game.
