Thanks, I figured as much. I ultimately chose not to go with cordovan because of all this; every mto shoe I get there's this risk that it won't fit and whenever I stumble on something that works I stick to it. I got my two Taylors back from being hemmed and I’m impressed with the look of the wider leg opening (8.5” on 32 waist).
