    Ask me about Eyewear!

It's a combination of width and oiliness, haha. I guess I have a thin bridge since some frames just sit so low on my nose to begin with that they don't work. Really you can have a wide bridge measurement on the frames but a thick medial frame / narrowly set nosepads since the number just...

    Ask me about Eyewear!

I actually really like the discontinued Valdese model, which appears to be made in China. Are their Chinese models considered to be high quality? My other concern is the bridge width, which really limits my choices; I used to own a Moscot Lemtosh but at 24 mm I needed silicone nosepads just to...

    Ask me about Eyewear!

I'm really digging this pair of Thom Browne flip-up sunglasses, but at $1000 I have to ask if there's anything similar from another company for comparison. Thom Browne Silver & Black Iron Sunglasses I would be putting in clear prescription lenses behind them. I've looked at probably 100...

Epaulet shop - Official Affiliate thread

I have one pair of Southwick promo pants that aren't just slow, they're still pending from March. Another non-promo, full-retail pair from the end of May and one from August 1st are also still pending. Granted, I did ask for a wider opening on some of these, but I've never seen a delay that long...

Epaulet shop - Official Affiliate thread

@Epaulet a few years ago there was a white flannel cloth available for pants and I totally missed out on it. Is there any chance that will be back this season, either from Hertling or Southwick? There is a 0% chance I will skip it this time.

I just woke up after an extended nap and found my Baird McNutt brown linen pants outside my door. @Epaulet Thank you for shipping it separately from the other pair in the order so I could take a look at it before ordering more Southwick stuff. It was definitely up to par and I squeezed in an...

Carmina Shoes - Definitive Thread (reviews, advice, sizing, etc...) - official thread.

Thanks, I figured as much. I ultimately chose not to go with cordovan because of all this; every mto shoe I get there's this risk that it won't fit and whenever I stumble on something that works I stick to it. I wish it were possible to alter the last width for other shapes besides Rain.

Carmina Shoes - Definitive Thread (reviews, advice, sizing, etc...) - official thread.

I just ordered wholecut chelseas in navy museum calf. I picked Rain last since it fits exactly spot-on in the Jodhpur's I got a few months ago, but I'm wondering if the ankle support is going to be comparable without the strap. I'm normally a 9E US and the very slight pinching at the instep for...

@Epaulet are the Southwick Single Cuts pants close to being ready? I’d like to have my pairs in hand before I order more with this promotion just to see how I feel about them compared to Hertling. The Nico design is inspired and I feel the strong need for some Jade hopsack.

I got my two Taylors back from being hemmed and I’m impressed with the look of the wider leg opening (8.5” on 32 waist). It’s pretty much a straight leg in appearance at this point and could maybe be 1/4” more narrow, but that wasn’t an option out of the factory. I think it lends itself to f/w...

٭٭٭ No Man Walks Alone - Official Affiliate Thread ٭٭٭ (a.k.a. I shouldn't have slept on it)

Is the cloth that dark IRL? I’ve been holding off so far thinking it was a little too bright based on the store pics.

My blue steel cavalry twill Taylors just arrived and I have to say how much I wish this final EFF run were in the Taylor or Gable model. The cloth is wonderfully textured and with a fantastic reflective quality thanks to the pronounced twill. I went all-out this time with the details: side tabs...

    Eidos Napoli

I thought I should specify that my thoughts on the Carlo's lapels and collar are a little colored by some images where the lapels look a little less extended, like this: I love the damned thing and I can't believe I got a final chance to get one, but my expectations were different. I'm also...

    Eidos Napoli

I got a Carlo in 36 (I’m ~37) and the fit is actually quite striking when cinched, but the lapels are just a bit too dramatic. It does look good with the collar up; is that how it’s meant to be worn at all times? And @Malmborg I hope you are feeling better and this all works out for you. Your...
