    Must haves for desk/office?

Jac Zagoory makes some interesting pens and desk accessories. If you can't justify spending $150.00 on a stapler they show up on eBay now and again. Of course you could save your pennies and go bespoke through Swaine Adeney.

Got sniped on eBay, show me how not to!

This is the idea, and apparently true. What this means is the purpose of sniping is to avoid giving non snipers a chance to reconsider. Sniping does NOT protect you from other snipers, who bid rationally at the last moment, sniping protects you from the NON snipers who keep raising their max bid...

I need help about my terrible choice of major

+1 I'd also add that the critical skills and writing skills you develop while pursuing an English degree are invaluable in almost any job. You'll also get Garrison Keillor's jokes and join the Professional Organization of English Majors (POET). "English majors have all the qualities...

Starting an accounting / bookkeeping firm as a side job

You may want to take a look at the IRS' unenrolled preparer initiative, if you plan on getting into returns. It's new for 2011.

English Majors? Anyone work in that field?

In my experience the general workforce has trouble reading critically, writing clearly and succinctly, and relies on MS Word or the like to edit their documents. Not one of my employees has a dictionary on his or her desk. Your skills will be invaluable in almost any field.

    Davidoff Briefcase Question?

Anyone know the company behind Davidoff's briefcase line? This is the only information I've found: "The leather collection, manufactured in Italy from the finest calf leather, forms a harmonious addition to the overall concept. Handcrafted details emphasize the refined luxury of the bags...

Can you pull off a hat (i.e fedora) ever??

I used to wear a fedora before I moved to the south. In the summer it's a Panama hat or a skimmer. Borsalino makes a nice wool cap for those casual cool rainy days.

    Allen Edmonds Park Avenue Shoes

Thank you for the responses. I'll keep everything in mind and keep my bid under $150.00. I tried Park Avenues on before and found them to be comfortable, so hopefully things will work out. I'll also keep any eye on the B&S Forum. I appreciate the help.
