I think I know how that feels. My first pair of Carmina was a Rubi Shell Oxford on Simpson, and I was ... 'Wow' when opening the box the first time. A photo of that pair, right off the box. I got exactly the same response after asking for status of the order (sent to the wrong customer, intercepted on the way, etc). The funny thing is: I got the package exactly one day after I got this response, and it appears to be a correct one. I'd love to give the benefit of the doubt to KA...- dave_rawitat

I have no idea about the current status/availability. I think you can ask @Carmina for more details. I was talking to Sara about the Calways make-up and I wanted something to pair with Rubi shell (I usually go with Polo Suede), and she mentioned this Russian Calf. So I went for it.- dave_rawitat

I also posted one recently, about the wrong sole. So I feel partly responsible for your feeling. But I can tell you one thing: I have 26 customized/MTO pairs from Carmina, and that one pair is the only time I have issue with them. The rest came out perfectly fine and I love them. I don't know if this would help ... but I always specify in the 'special request' section like this: "Please ensure that the Rubi shell is very 'Deep, Dark Red'. Reddish-brown would be fine, but not very brown". I'm quite pleased with the results so far.- dave_rawitat
