    Calfskin oxfords with white tie?

Ok, I gave my one black calf oxfords a quick shine and will definitely wear them tonight (patent leather shoes on the left, calf oxfords on the right): The calfskin oxfords don't shine as much as the patent leather shoes, but they still look a lot better (IMHO). Teacher: that's a great way...

    Calfskin oxfords with white tie?

Thanks guys! You've given me the confidence I need to proudly go with my calfskin oxfords! Now on to the shining...

    Calfskin oxfords with white tie?

I have a white tie event coming up tomorrow and I don't have any patent leather shoes to go with it. Or rather, I have a pair of fairly cheap, pre-worn patent leather shoes that I do not like very much that I can wear but I don't particularly want to wear. If possible, I would prefer to wear one...

H&M (having a hard time navigating their site)

The H&M on-line shop only has a very limited number of items. The only tie they sell on-line is black; only three shirts are available: white, pink, and light blue; one black suit and one brown suit; two overcoats; one pair of polyester/wool trousers. And not much else. Anyway, here is a...

    Villiers Handgrade Shoe Appreciation

Sorry to repeat what everyone else just said, but these are some truly great looking boots!

What do you guys think of this pair of shoe?

I was on a budget and I had a 15% off coupon to use on this pair of oxfords. What do you guys think? http://www.bananarepublic.com/browse...scid=374737002 Very cheap looking, non-stylish shoes (in my opinion).

My new Loake Camden from Herring Shoes

I suspect that they may have been a special order made by Loake for another retailer. This may explain the overall fairly high, if slightly idiosyncratic, specification. I have seen the same speculations made with regard to the "Twyning" and "Tiverton" models, both of which have been identified...

My new Loake Camden from Herring Shoes

Thank you! Yes the shoes look much better in person than they do on (the quite boring) the photo on Herrings website.

My new Loake Camden from Herring Shoes

I ordered a pair of tan calf Loake Camden from Herring Shoes a few days ago and they arrived today. Herring lists them as a discontinued shoe in the Loake Shoemaker range and sells them for 70 GBP. While the Loake Shoemaker range is lower in quality than their 1880 range, these shoes seem to...

    Pinstriped Odd Jackets

I think it looks great together with jeans. I'd imagine it would look odd on an older gentleman, but it does look good on you.

Shoe storage - Any creative solutions?

I went to IKEA here in Sweden a week or so ago and saw this: Essientially a bunch of plastic shoe trees that one puts inside the wardrobe and pulls out when needed. Seems to be room for at least 16 shoes. Don't know anything more about it (nor how good this really is for the shoes), I just...

    When to wear Oxfords

I think oxfords (both cap toe and brogues) work extremely well with jeans for the exact same reason as DocHolliday put forth. A pair of well-polished brown cap toe oxfords together with a pair of casual jeans give an air of sophistication, in my opinion. And I don't like the look of khakis with...

    What shoes with shorts?

Tods I second that. This picture is the best I could find right now, and may not be the best depictation of what I have in mind, but does a fairly good job of illustrating it:

    ImageShack Blocking SF

Why does this still not apply to me? I see the pictures either way. You need to explicitly reload the pictures from the page with the word "Appreciation" highlighten. In my browser this is done by holding the shift key while pressing the "Reload" button.

Just sent this, we'll see what happens. Nicely worded
