Thanks for your thoughts. Not sure if they used different labeling for hand grade but in fairly sure this is a real model based on old product ad pics and site pages.

Ya I got emerald green on a pair of CGs and have to agree. I went back looking for videos and pics to confirm I didn’t get graphite because they’re really only greenish at full transition.

Could I get some expert eyes on this? This was listed as a US8 41 equivalent but I'm not sure that's right as the inside is marked 8. I've heard CJ had some models made for the US w/ US sizing, but I've also read that those are usually listed with standard US widths. The width is also listed as...

Devaux is one of the oldest classic frames in the JMM catalogue, it used to go by a different name Loewy back in the day. There was also a Montblanc version with metal nose pads IIRC. It is chunky and very sharp in person on its edges despite being somewhat of a rounded front on view. Def one of...

Echo what troika said, which usually means I’m on the right track. I’d pass on that one.

Honestly I don’t mind the shape but I really don't like the crossbones.

What's "the signal" in case we cross paths. I don't want to break decorum.

Has vintage tort in its original form ever really come back? I know they made some “vintage tort” stuff more recently but wasn’t it not quite the same?

I think by now every long-following JMM fan has a couple frames they wish they could go back and nab when they had the chance.

I have a pair of NIB vendomes in Noir if you’re interested. Also zoomer lenses can do custom tints. I did peach for a pair of Enzos. And a place in NYC is pretty well known for custom tints as well though I can’t remember the name at the moment for the life of me. I’m sure someone else can chime in.

I've looked at them before too and they seem very well made. Design can be very hit or miss. Def on my list, though.
