    Wear shoes. Shoes add both visual and actual (about 1" for most dress shoes) length to your legs and you need to wear them to judge the length of your jacket.

    There's a wide range of shoulder widths that would be considered a good fit. The wall test you mentioned is one but I think you should consider that they should be of a width that's proportional to both your head and the rest of your body, so that they neither your head or the rest of your body...

That being said, floridasenior is probably fortunate in that he seems to have a pretty conventional and symmetrical body composition, no uneven shoulders, good posture, no appendages that are unusually long or short...

    Have you tried Banana Republic Aiden fit? I find it similar to the 1040 and around the same price range.

    I have 2 Jorts and a La Spalla in my closet together with the 10 or 15 other suits that I have worn 0 times this year. Do I *need* a new suit? eh, maybe not a charcoal one since I think I already have 4 of those. But this sounds rare and collectible though so maybe I should buy it just to be safe.

    Thanks, finally something I read here actually became useful in real life! They've always has SS at Nordstrom (mainline) but usually not at Nordstrom Rack, I think this is the second time I've seen it. There's some good prices for finale single size items e.g.

    I've been returning around 60%-80% consistently - I buy a lot of suits that turn out to not fit great. No issues so far. The stuff I buy is cheaper too, if you are actually buying $300 shirts I wouldn't worry.

    I think it's probably a bit longer than what is currently fashionable right now but it still looks very nice IMO. If you are a tall enough person you can absolutely pull it off. I'd rock it.

    I'm not an EEE on Brannock, I just size downhalf a size and go EEE with Allen Edmonds because AE 65 runs long and narrow. I generally go with 9 in other makes. But I think I should probably pass, too risky.

    I'm eyeing the brown balmoral boot that you have on your site pretty hard. There's a UK 7.5 left. I am a US9 on Brannock and am comfortable with a 8.5EEE on Allen Edmonds 65, and find the Meermin Dani in size 8 to be snug. Would the 7.5 work for me?
