    The Ultimate Toronto Thread

RE: the styleforum post; i have found the same in conversation but i believe is it largely due to a difference in opinion on the value of forums vs. in person engagement. whether it be fashion, watches or automotive or anything else that you may be a forum-rat about there are many that just do...

The Harry Rosen on Bloor also has main Tom Ford in Canada. Last time i went in it was under construction but may be open now? They also have a decent Kiton section. the Kiton store is a short walk behind HR&HR and they have expanded into some other hyper premium brands as well. I also would...

    Discussion on Resale Value

There are a bunch of sketchy Kiton fakers on ebay that keep setting up new accounts and are selling reasonable looking casual wear regularly. since i do not know the Kiton product i do not buy any Kiton new or used unless i can try it on and handle it. I believe there are others like myself...

    Discussion on Resale Value

oh this is a great topic. I have a few points to offer as someone who buys a significant amount of non-retail items. Note 'non-retail' in that many things i buy on ebay for example are in fact NWT or NWOT and are therefore not used but are second-hand still. I believe there are a number of...

it really is interesting. both CDN and US banks have been hits pretty hard this past week or so. I wasnt paying attention back in 07/08 so this is the most notable pull back i have seen. Chipotle has been hammered as well and i've been wanting to go long on them. I've been rewarded by not doing...

weed stocks bounced back hard today. we'll see if it lasts or if it is simply a bull trap. neither would surprise me though buying in yesterday morning would have been amazing for a 48 hours 20-30% gain in many cases. This is what a section of my watch list looked like today. all CDN tickers.

This really intrigues me as an opportunity given the presumed tailwinds for the US banks. i wasnt in the market in 2007/2008 but i havent seen any major bank have a single day like this since i have been paying attention.

i'm already over-weight in this sector. been thinking of cutting back a bit. i'd agree. really thought Ackman was going to be able to have an impact when he got involved.

it's certainly creating some buying opportunities on the US stocks. thus far today the dip on the CDN stock has been largely bought up but there is still lots of hockey left as they say.

i basically made my own ETF before the ETF's came out. sold much too early on APH, ACB and WEED but still did well. The valuations based on production and supply agreements with Canadian provinces is cascading through the sector as it becomes apparent that the market will be structured like...
