Wolverine 721LTD Shell Cordovan 1000 Mile Boot Review

Crane's, out of curiosity, how long do you expect that muddied up pair of 1000 mile boots--or any other that you own--to last before they need to be replaced?

This is unreal! Thanks for posting. Makes the abuse mine see look downright amateur by comparison.

Wolverine 721LTD Shell Cordovan 1000 Mile Boot Review

Crane's, is Filson Boot Oil good to use on chromexcel and cordovan? Or is it good for just one of the types of leather? Also, what's the difference between Filson's Boot Oil and the Obenauf Leather Protector that they sell? I know you've gone over this stuff, but I've been searching through...

Wolverine 721LTD Shell Cordovan 1000 Mile Boot Review

Crane's, I'm curious as to whether you'll be getting the 744s? If so, are you going to put them through the ringer the way you have your other 1000 miles? Would love to see another thread like this one.

Wolverine 721LTD Shell Cordovan 1000 Mile Boot Review

I have a few pairs of 1000 Mile Boots, including the 721s. This doesn't look egregious. I wouldn't worry. I can do similar things if I start pressing down on the sole of my boots, and I'm not really concerned. If it starts to separate more noticeably without applying pressure to the sole...

    Aero leather Jackets

Anyone know anything about them? I just found the company. They seem to use Horween leather on all of their jackets. They have a few cool looking ones, and I like the idea of having a leather jacket that I can break in/use for years; but I'm also worried about the sizing. I tend to go for a...

Wolverine 721LTD Shell Cordovan 1000 Mile Boot Review

I have the 721s in a size 9 and I have the original 1000 miles in a size 9. They both fit me perfectly. My understanding is that the 744 was built on the same last as the 721, so it is going to be the exact same size. They should, therefore, also be the same size as the original 1000 miles.

What would you do in my situation...?

Thanks very much. Just glad the tux finally fits!

What would you do in my situation...?

Obviously it didn't fit 100% perfectly. What I meant was that it fit about as well as an off-the-rack tux could. As to your other point, during the initial fitting (before the tux came back screwed up), I gave the tailor absolute freedom to do whatever he felt he needed to do. I didn't...

What would you do in my situation...?

You're absolutely right. It doesn't make sense that the jacket fit nearly perfectly, and came back ill-fitting. I don't know what to tell you other than that's exactly what happened. The first time the tailor looked at it, he made a comment about a negligible amount of buckling in the fabric...

What would you do in my situation...?

Here's the final update: Went in yesterday and tried on the tux. Lo and behold, it fit perfectly. My guess is that the tailor felt he was about to lose his contract with the store, so this time around, he decided to actually do his job. Anyway, all's well that ends well I guess, but it's...

    Boxing vs Crossfit?

I've gotta seriously disagree with you on this. Have you watched the Crossfit Games? The competitors in it are some of the fittest people in the world, and that is not a hyperbolic statement. Two competitors at the upcoming Crossfit Games workout at my gym; I would challenge you to find...

Suggest a body groomer/ beard trimmer..

Get the Wahl Peanut. I generally like a bit of scruff, and I've used so many beard trimmers over the years from Braun or Norelco. They are always just ok; invariably, they leave a few scraggly hairs, and your beard/stubble ends up looking uneven. The Wahl Peanut is pretty awesome in that it...
