I wasn't a big fan of the fit/material. Sleeves are very narrow and long and the fabric is a bit scratchy. The new sweater featured in the FW campaign looks like an updated version of it but I personally hate the giant CELINE logo. Wish they would redo it in the mini embroidered triomphe logo in...
Thanks! Appreciate the fit...reminds me of my old Dolce jeans from the early 00s. All you need is a loose ironic t and a trucker hat to complete the look
All jokes aside, I support your decision in sending these back lol
ooh would love to see the Kurt jeans on you! Can you confirm if they are different from the 90s jeans on the websites now? I'm looking for a pair of looser, cropped, balloon shaped jeans to go with the cowboy boots I preordered from TKP (trying to recreate looks from Parade for me) so wondering...
Interesting...my La peau nue and nightclubbing shared the same batch code 9G01E, so I wonder if there are any notable differences from the dec batch
On a separate note, I would love to see Hedi release home fragrances (eg, candles) for CELINE under the same olfactory family. I can see eau de...
Pairing the celine western shirt (either SS or FW 19, can't recall) with DB blazer from SS19, london jeans in union wash from FW 19, and SLP 3 passants belt.
Denim on denim is tricky but I guess it kinda works here?
Very interesting dive into the CELINE HC approach. It always fascinates me when Loic Prigent goes into the details of each garment for his videos. I wish he could do the reports for Celine virtual shows as well. Hedi is clearly not a conceptual HC designer so he focuses more on the craftsmanship...
I prefer the Celine mostly because of the wash. I got a version of it before the lockdown but haven't worn it lol The material could make the difference too and it seems like the SLP version may be thinner?
I was initially put off by the 70s/80s makeup vibe (think loose lips by Byredo and lipstick rose from FM) but there's something very warm and comforting about the dry down. One of my favorites from the line
2 of my favorite looks from Parade.
Loving the gaucho denim and wondering if it would work for me (might need a pair of cowboy boots and the leopard coat as well). Vaccarello did a more streamlined version for men last year but the Celine feels cooler and more effortless?
I no longer expect Hedi to"design" anything fresh or innovative, and I doubt we will ever experience the same creative energy as his YSL (not SLP) and Dior Homme days.
Despite all that, I'm still a loyal (or somewhat regular lol) customer because there's always something covetable for me, and...
