The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

Hello again all, a recent special incoming for me - the Rolex GMT Master II, 116719 BLRO, in white gold. I feel lucky and privileged to finally own this piece, which is my ultimate Rolex (Platona excepted probably, but realistically that's never going to be in range for me). It essentially...

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

I finally got myself a Speedmaster Pro, and I can't believe I waited this long - what a cracking watch. I bought the new 005 (hesalite) model, which I know some say is expensive, and partly paying for a useless box, but I got it at a very good price from a non-authorised dealer (I can live...

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

Hello again all, I received a new (to me) watch today, my first Panerai! I thought long and hard and did a lot of research before choosing this piece, which for me probably best represents Panarai's great history. I also much prefer the Radiomir case to the Luminor, even if it isn't as "iconic"...

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

I basically agree with you - I paid a little less than the equivalent of 10k USD for a brand new watch (although not from an AD, but it does have the Nomos warranty - PM me if anybody would like more details). For me at that price it actually represents fantastic value - a unique design I love...

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

I've attached some notes I wrote on my collection below. The watch box is an interesting one - I own a few boxes, for 3, 6, 10 and 15 watches, all bought at various times to try and control my buying habits, all of which were failed attempts! I am now at a point however where I'm thinking...

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

I was down to those two watches as well - in the end I found the Lambda more appealing design wise, and I got it for a very good price (not far off half the cost of a new Saxonia Thin, much easier to get discounts on Nomos than ALS!).

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

It's the 38mm Orion (I have a seven and a third inch wrist which is quite flat on top). The brown 15 watch box if that's the one you mean (?) is a cheapie from Amazon a couple of year ago - I can't find it on their site now I'm afraid. The Sub gets plenty of wrist time as the closest to a...

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

Hello all, my first post in a great thread, and one I'm really enjoying reading through. I've attached a picture of my full watch collection, as well as a few of my favourites. There are also a lot more pictures (including macros) here...
