    Filson Bag Thread: With Pictures

Nope, not helping at all, trying to stay firm in not buying more filsons until I sold any of the bags I already have, and that photo is just too tempting ;-) . I have the tin cloth backpack and it seems to be a perfect combo with the Pullman in that photo... Interesting, seems like an...

Found this nice looking Pullman for sale in Sweden. 21,5 inches wide, so it's not the new small version. 300 USD ain't cheap, but said to be used only a few times and looks to be in near mint condition. Was considering, but will stay to my promise not to buy large capacity non rolling or "back...

Thanks for your answer. Finally got the 70266 yesterday, so I can compare them side by side. I like the more interesting (for me still not busy) looks of the Sportsman compared to the MTB, with its double zippered pockets and those half closed exterior stuff pockets. Though clearly the large...

The Filson 261 is a favourite here as well. The side pockets (on the short ends) will even fit a bottle of wine each. I use mine mainly on travel or during summer months. Can always fit a jacket in there if needed, plus laptop, and some groceries. But if you're ok with carrying a duffle to/from...

That large carry on looks awesome! The fancy handle on the top of this model is just classy. Not very easy to find in that condition though. Thanks for introducing an alternative, Helps me steer off from the 48hr tin duffle obsession a bit. Plus, with twill you may choose tan which is for me...

    Filson Bag Thread: With Pictures

I have a 2014 medium travel bag in otter green, and will receive a tan 70266 Sportsman bag in tan, tomorrow (so awaited!) The latter seems to be in great condition judging by the pics, tags still on, Filson zippers, but with classic motto label! The MTB I bought new in 2014 is still in great...

Is it really? The leather seems very new and unused to me. Guess it would be more uneven if the color was due to wear and tear.

    Filson Bag Thread: With Pictures

I am looking at getting the 48h duffle, missed out on the one sold by speedy611 a few pages back, so scanning eBay and other sources at the moment. The style of this bag if fantastic imho, but I'm having some concerns regarding the material. I have a couple of 22-oz twill/canvas bags, and one...

Ok, thanks for clarifying. Will test it right away...Nope. But I can see that happen if loaded a bit off-balance, there is a slight tendency. Never happened to me though. Have not even thought about it.

But I can't even figure out what that means, does the bag get detached from the strap? Hmm

Don't really get that, regarding the "bag suicide"...? I have the medium travel bag and have never thought of any problems with the strap.

Anyone with tin cloth Filson bag used on a daily basis? I have a small back pack, love it but use it rarely, only sometimes when travelling. So can't use that as a reference. I saw this 48hr duffle on Instagram (#filsonduffle) which to me seems more dirty than beautifully patinated ;)

I would however expect all rivets in place on their belts. If this is the items they shoot for the online shop, what is the quality you get delivered...? o_O

    Filson Bag Thread: With Pictures

Yup, the 48 hr duffle bag is really nice. However made of tin cloth... I have the small tin cloth rucksack. Really like the fabric, much more "life" than the - when new that is - quite dull twill/canvas, but it does not seem at all as durable as the twill/canvas. I have also read other posts...

Don't get it regarding 'pendulous' and 'flapping around'. You do wear it like this I hope?
