YANKO is a brand of shoes produced on the island of Mallorca where it was created in 1961 by master artisans specializing in the manufacture of high quality footwear. From its humble beginnings it soon developed into one of the most important and prestigious footwear companies in Europe during the 80s. So much so, that in its heyday, YANKO was manufacturing more than a million pairs of shoes a year.

Antonio Llobera, a renowned businessman in the footwear sector, supported by a powerful team of partners, acquired the business in 2007. Following in the footsteps of the original concept, by 2007 Antonio LLobera had assembled his own team of highly qualified Mallorcan artisans. This has led the new company into developing its own individual signature and style, and has once again gained a reputation as a major international brand. Currently, YANKO, besides being sold in the most prestigious European shops, continues to expand, and is well on its way to establishing itself as a leading brand in the American, Asian and European markets.
