VINTAGE 1960s ABRAHAM & STRAUSS OVERCOAT--IMPORTED FROM GREAT BRITAIN!

The fabric is likely Scottish; the coat was Union Made in the USA!

c. 42, 44. Measurements:

Chest: 24
Sleeve: 27 1/2 (+1)
Shoulder: 19
Length: 42 1/4

This is an incredible coat! Originally sold by Abraham & Strauss, likely in the 1960s at their flagship Brooklyn store, this is a very, very serious and substantial coat indeed, built to withstand New York winters.

Weighing in at several pounds this is cut from thick and heavy British cloth (likely from Scotland) in a very dark grey herringbone. The coat itself was Union Made in the USA in the 1960s. It is cut as a classic traditional overcoat with a three button front, with a 3/2 lapel roll. It has two ornamental buttons on the cuffs, Ivy style. It is fully canvassed and fully lined. It features a single center rear vent.

The two front pockets are beautifully lined in dark blue moleskin, attesting to the overall high quality of this beautiful coat.

This is in excellent condition, and a bargain at just $65, or offer, boxed, shipped, and insured in the USA.
