The Zetto denim from Tanuki was inspired by the original low tension denim fabrics of Japan, created on accident over a decade ago. Produced through a painstakingly slow weave, up until a few years ago three shuttle looms had the capability to manufacture the fabric. However, now two of them have fallen into disrepair, leaving only a single loom in the world that can weave the denim. This denim was dubbed Z, or "Zetto", by Tanuki to indicate the special and limited characteristics of the fabric - once the last loom stops working we will never see the fabric again.
