White, unlined kidskin dress gloves from Lavabre Cadet
French maître gantier Lavabre Cadet is widely considered the finest glove maker in the world. They are particularly known for their expertise in kidskin, making these gloves one of their signature items. The stitching is impeccable, the leather is incredibly smooth, and the color is pure and clean. Formal, unlined white gloves are traditionally worn for white tie and black tie affairs, with morning dress, and for weddings. Other companies make white dress gloves in cheaper leathers, but the most traditional material is ultrasoft kidskin, of which Lavabre makes the finest. These world-class gloves are rather hard to find these days, short of a trip to Paris.
When they are available, retail price is usually around $400
