Alden Shell Cordovan Jumper Boot. The makeup has the Alden code 4076HY. The only place I’ve seen them at is Brescia-based boutique Borghini, who still sell them for 1,100 Euro.
This is a color 8 jumper boot with cap toe, four speed hooks, leather sole and black edge dressing. They are marked as 9.5 E. They’re on the Modified Last.
I bought them unworn but pre-owned in fall 2019 and have worn them for about 15 times since then. They are slightly too big for me, hence we need to part ways. All flaws I see with the pair are a slightly slipping tongue on the left boot (this may be due to my feet not filling the boots), a slightly bent top speed hook on the right hand side of the left boot, and a 2 cm long shell-fold on the right boot‘s shaft. All three flaws existed when I bought them and haven’t bothered me. I’m not a shoemaker and cannot vouch for further more hidden flaws, but I haven’t found any.
I have only treated them with a horsehair brush and Saphir cordovan cream. They are on their first leather soles.
I’m selling the shoes including the original laces, shoe bags and the box without trees. The original waxed flat laces are slightly frayed from the speed hooks; the box has seen better days.
