This jacket is from the handmade "Napoli" line of P. Johnson, made by La Vera Sartoria Napoletana.
The cloth is 10.5 oz pure wool 130s flannel from Lanificio Reda, the lining is burgundy Bemberg.
The detail photos show the hand-tailoring and casual style of the garment, 3roll2 buttoning, hand-felled collar, soft spalla camicia with no shoulder padding, lapped edges, handsewn buttonholes. The canvas and haircloth are soft and lightweight.
This coat is cut in the draped style. There is a lot ease across the chest and upper back, tapering down to the waist, hence the large chest measure. This coat measures like a 46-48R, yet it fits me whereas I usually wear 44R. The excess over the chest and blades neatly form a fold of cloth in the front and back of the armscye.
measurements (inches):
shoulder seam to seam (across back, from top of sleeves) 20.75
chest pit to pit 26
undercollar to hem length 30
sleeve length 25
(1 inch inlay left at sleeve hem and .5 inch at sleevehead)
The retail I paid was over AU$3000 in March 2016. The garment is a year old, worn gently. The cloth is in perfect condition.
