These are the special edition Hayes released in limited numbers to commemorate St. Crepin Day.
1. The Hayes is completely handmade using a single piece of calf leather and shaped around John Lobb’s signature ‘7000’ last.
2. Each limited-edition pair is individually numbered and took six weeks to produce in Northampton, England.
3. The Hayes is an update on a double-buckle silhouette designed by John Lobb in the 1940s.
4. The leather’s mottled patina is based on an ancient tanning method, where natural dye is applied in layers to give a subtle variation of tone.
5. Its hand-sewn apron took over two hours per pair to complete. It is secured by using natural bristles, which are threaded through holes.
6. The shoe has no visible stitching, except for a single bind seam joining the sole and upper together.
You will not find another pair and they cannot be ordered MTO.
These come with the bags and special trees.
