Epaulet Rivet Chino in Bright Navy Wool Twill, size 33

Epaulet Rivet Chino in Bright Navy Wool Twill, size 33

Another victim of closet cleaning here is a classic Epaulet Rivet Chino in a gorgeous bright navy blue dress wool twill. The fabric was described as "Danube Blue," but at least to me that seems to imply a lighter blue shade. I think "bright navy" is more accurate. They're not as dark as your typical navy pant, but they're not so bright as to be attention grabbing/trendy either. The shade is a perfect all-around blue shade that works equally great with an untucked sport shirt or polo as it does with a tucked in dress shirt, and with the shape of the chinos they're the kind of pants you can wear to work and then out, and around the house as well. The color is just distinctive enough that they're not your typical blue chino, but have the same versatility as navy. As the photos indicate, these chinos were made with pinstripe pocket bags, which evidently is a Holland & Sherry fabric! The drape on the wool twill is absolutely incredible, and the twill structure isn't so pronounced that you notice it. Overall, these are amazing 3.5-season/transitional chinos and a great deal here. Hemmed by a professional NYC tailor, worn only once. Stored in a cedar-lined closet in a smoke-free and pet-free home. (Crossposted from SW&D as permitted.)
