New in box, $100 incl shipping in CONUS, OBO.
The Derby Shoe is a streamlined and minimal plain toe blucher. Refined enough to dress up, yet substantial enough to be worn as a routine casual shoe - the Derby is an incredibly versatile style. Our in-house last offers a nicely rounded toe, a mid-length vamp, and a sleek toe box.
Sizing
Epaulet Derby Shoes run true to size. If you typically wear a 10D in dress shoes, then we recommend ordering a US10 in these. For a comparison to our dress shoes, this size would correspond to a 10D in the Alden Aberdeen last, a 9.5D in the Alden Barrie or Tru-Balance last, and a 9UK in most Carmina lasts. Many of our customers also tend to wear the same size in these as they would in a Converse Jack Purcell or Vans Authentic - which can be a useful comparison for getting fitted locally.
For European customers looking at the EU size, we also recommend purchasing your typical size.
Origin and Construction
Produced at our Portuguese factory, each Derby Show is made with genuine blake stitch construction. It breaks in quickly for long-wearing comfort. Underneath the classic lines of its upper, the Derby's sole is a brilliant combination of rubber and leather. The natural leather mid-sole and welt are stitched through to a sturdy St. Moritz front and heel rubber lug panel for superior traction. The lugs are fairly low-profile, maintaining a sleek appearance on the foot.
Our signature leather-wrapped insole provides excellent arch support and can be removed for orthotics or inserts. A kidskin glove leather full liner extends throughout the interior. Both whole and half sizes are available for a precise fit. When needed, this shoe can be resoled by a trusted cobbler.
