DROP J.Crew Wool Bowery Forest Green 33/34 Slim Fit

DROP J.Crew Wool Bowery Forest Green 33/34 Slim Fit

Last winter J.Crew did a handful of wool Bowery pants. I got these forest green ones (which have a micro-herringbone pattern that resolves to solid). I've worn them occasionally but not a ton. They're still in very good almost like-new condition. So I figure they're a good investment for someone who wants wool dress pants for everyday wear and/or someone who is just starting out building a daily clothing wardrobe. PM me if you are interested in them.

They are the slim fit (as opposed to their "classic fit"). They are a "33" waist size, but see the measurements because they are vanity sized.

So, the thing I did was buy them in a 34 inseam length. Then I folded up the bottom to get a 2-inch cuff (my inseam is about 30"). I kept meaning to actually open up their original hem and sew the two-inch cuff hem permanently but never got around to it, so as is, the 2-inch cuff is held up by safety pins lol. But I wore them this way in public every time i wore them and it never was a problem, and you don't notice it. But anyway, you can get these hemmed to whatever length you want bc the original hem is still untouched.

Here is an image I took for my blog at one point featuring these pants. Sadly, I have no WAYWT images of them.

Incidentally I am also selling the dub-monks pictured.

Measurements:
Waist: 18"
Rise: 10.75"
Thigh 2" down from crotch: 13"
Knee 13" down from crotch: 9.25"
Hem: 7.375"

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
