The flagship coat from De Bonne Facture in gray and brown herringbone Pyrenean wool. Breathtaking and rustic fabric - perfect for this coat - and such a classic fit. From last season's collection, but remade for this season. The same version that's currently available at Division Road, I think. Retailed $1475.

Size 52.

New with tags. Purchased and stored for this winter, but I'm trying to clear out a few of my long coats. I have more than I could possibly wear. (I also have a version of the grandad coat in a softer deep brown wool if anyone would prefer that, although that one has been worn a few times. Message me for pictures.)

Blurb taken from Division Road:

The Grey and Brown Herringbone French Wool Grandad Trench Coat by De Bonne Facture is inspired by the subtle masculinity and casual sophistication of artists like Basquiat, Gould, and Shinohara, made with traditional workshop craftsmanship to produce a garment with timeless style and longevity. With a focus on sustainability through natural fibers and production techniques that connect the garment to the landscape, this Grandad Coat is made from a 15 oz. Passe-Trame Pyrenean Cloth in a 100% Pure Virgin Wool ethically sourced and milled in Mazamet by Eric Carlier. To create a vintage aesthetic with a pure provenance, De Bonne Facture utilized this undyed herringbone woolen that achieves its look by using natural dark and light shears woven in a traditional pattern for a cloth with a natural hand and texture in a casually structured form. With a minimalist design approach inspired by vintage fashion, each element carries thematic consistency and purpose with details like a double breasted buttoned front for a business casual aesthetic, a notch collar and a rolling top button for various conditions of fall through spring, raglan sleeves for a comfortable and draped silhouette, and is fully lined in a washed cotton and viscose for a finished garment with a comfortably aged appeal. Paying homage to the original trench coat with sophistication, this piece has a belted front for closure and styling versatility, perfectly placed wide welt lower hand pockets, two interior chest pockets for devices and keepsakes, high character genuine horn buttons, tailor taped seams, adjustable tab button cuffs, and a center back vent to allow for movement. Atelier made in Châtillon-sur-Indre, France by outerwear specialist Hervier Productions provides the soul of fine regional craftsmanship; which, combined with the authenticity of fully traceable natural materials, yields an artisan piece for the timeless wardrobe of the contemporary fashion connoisseur.
