$295 USPS first class shipped CONUS only. No Returns. Please have good B&S or eBay Feedback. Price is Firm.
I am gutted to have to release these. They are classic and the color is beautiful. New, though tried on three times as I pondered whether to keep them (walked on carpet).
Please note: These are likely D width (narrow...see below)
With the help of a great SF member in Mexico, I was able to get these shoes at a great price. Unfortunately, they are too narrow.
These are burgundy calf Rain last captoe shoes with channeled leather soles. They are 8UK but they are likely D width (so narrow...Rain comes in D narrow, EE (normal), and EEE (wide)).
1. Carmina confirms with me by email that these are EE width but likely in the old Rain configuration which is a few mm narrower than current Rain EE. THis might be why the sale price is so attractive.
2. In a separate email Carmina also noted that current Rain D width is a few mm narrower than current Rain EE.
Following?
3. In the Carmina thread, people note that Simpson EE is the same width as Carmina Rain D. In fact, the widest part of the sole of these 8UKs in Rain are the same as my 8.5UK Simpsons. On my feet they are snugger than my other Rain oxfords. I might be able to swing them, but I think it best to pass them on.
So, as far as I can tell, these fit like 8UK D.
I am happy to give measurements etc, but given what Carmina has told me, my own sense of how the shoes feel, and the comparison with Simpson, I am reasonably confident that these are narrower than current Rain EE. I think at the price offered, it's worth a shot and one can always flip them again.
I'm trying to recover my shipping costs from Mexico plus the US shipping with box is expensive ($45, usps) and the price reflects US shipping and fees. If you don't want the shoe box, it might be possible to ship more cheaply and I would refund the difference.
