How to antique shoes using shoe wax

  1. Question: Can someone offer some insight on how these shoes were "antiqued" with this finish? Here's the before, or how they come when purchased.
    Here's the after.
    Looks like just a top coat of medium brown + shine but I'm far from an expert. Thanks!

    This is quite really easy to duplicate!! (consider and the difference in lighting )
    1: 1 coat neutral +1 coat medium brown (wax only) (the entire shoe)
    2: spit shine the toe cap 2-3 coats of medium brown and one last coat of neutral to give more depth at the color
