I think I'd agree. It's depressing that there are so few men--and women, for that matter--who no longer care about the impression their clothes give BUT at the same time I would not broadcast to the world a comment encouraging people who wear overalls and sweat-shorts to jump out a window. Even in jest, that does strike me as over the top.

i agree. in fact, i can empathize more with the single mother of three who didn't go to college because her family couldn't afford it, works two poor paying jobs, and wears winnie the pooh overalls to the mall because it's all she can afford than i can with fence walking, bottom feeding, insipid college freshman who wear whatever the gap throws at them and then talk about it on youtube.

then again, maybe i should take it at face value, which is just another stupid thing i saw on the internet today, and not get so worked up about it.

I always take my fashion advice from a guy in a pink lacosta polo with the collar popped or with one of those funny, retarded t-shirts that all the kids by from Wal-Mart.

Or guys who spell Lacoste "lacosta" and buy "by".

The video with the gay guy with the popped collar was so unbelievably pointless ...I can't even believed I wasted my life to watch the fag pop his collar over and over again. The gay guy was nice to push Mondonation and Gap Red but he's way too freaking judgemental. Yeah women who wear overalls look stupid, leave them the f*** alone, it's their choice weather or not they want to dress that way.

Ignoring the fact that he works at the GAP (supposedly), he does name drop the GAP very frequently... flashing new products from them in his videos, "I love love love the GAP... it's amazing what you can find there", yada yada.

Is he just another shill? Has GAP caught on to the idea of viral marketing?

Not to be rude, but I also don't have much respect for anyone who refers to gays as "fags."

Yeah, I hear that. This guy isn't gay. He's just a cunt. Do I really need prescriptive fashion advice, stolen forth from holy writ, from the Gap? This is laughable unintentional self parody. It's one thing to be poorly dressed. It's another thing to be utterly without value as a human being. That he is both is just... entertaining. Briefly.

That occurred to me immediately as well. I checked his personal website registration and dug up his address and home phone number, both of which predate youtube by nearly a year and this video by more than two. His home address, assuming it's legitimate, is a real residential address in Paducah. If he is a shill, he's using his real identity in plain view, which would be spectacularly fucking stupid. Having known people who've worked for the Gap and how heavily they emphasize employee indoctrination, it's honestly not too surprising that he pushes Gap products and "humanitarian" efforts so heavily. He may be a viral shill, but the odds are fairly slim. I personally find it more probable that he genuinely believes the Gap is a good place to work and buy clothes.

This guy sucks, but don't be so disrespectful. I'd much rather you censor out "fag" and leave in "fuck" than vice versa.

I was going to throw in an "opinions are like assholes" line, and mix it with some very crude gay humour, but I don't think I should go there. [IMG]
