You guys are making me want a st james boatneck (2).

Never really understood the St. James "hype" their knits seems way to coarse for my taste[IMG]

    Best
Not really fashion related, a dog.[IMG]
Andersen - Andersen Roll neck knit
Albam Shawl Collar knit, shirts and when it arrives roll neck
    Oliver Peoples Altman

    Worst
Folk scarf (It turns out that I'm sensitive towards Alpaca, so I can't wear it and it was bought on sale, so no return)
    Rushmoor shirt
    Dots Gloves (never received them)

There is no hype it's just basic shit and the virgin wool is coarse as hell.

2010 was my first full year post-SF. I am probably older than the average SW&D, non-baller, modest aspirations. MC does not interest me as I am not a lawyer or salesman. I spent the year lurking and managed to get some of the basics nailed down.

    Best:
    - Jeans that fit (Momotaro)
    - Splurged on a belt (KMW)
    - Upgraded my footwear (RMW, Alden)
    - MTM shirts (thx Colby)

    Close but no cigar:
    - TOJ MA-1 (listen to Charly, everyone)
    - CPs (sized wrong, rookie mistake, sold on B&S)
    - SNS sweaters (still looking for a Stark so I will reserve judgement)
    - W+H Service boots (totally not for me, sold on B&S)

    Worst:
    - Jeans that didn't fit (Dior and APC, couldn't get sizing right, sold on B&S)
    - Crap boots (Clarks DB, the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever owned)
    - Shirts that didn't fit (glad I tried BOO, nice stuff but made for tiny people)
    - J.Crew (seemed like a good idea at the time but I don't wear ANY of it)

Purged all of my Crew/Gap/BR/pre-2008 office wear so it's all upside from here... imagine the possibilities [IMG]

How old? Just curious, as I am as well.

Crap boots (Clarks DB, the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever owned)

A lot of people complain about the comfort of these boots. I happen to love them, but I'm not on my feet all day. May have something to do with my wider feet as well"”not quite D, not quite E.

I'm in the upper-30s commodity trader jeans to work mustard stains acceptable (suits laughed at) best-dressed-dad-on-the-block category.

Best: SNS Herning Knit, Stark- Olde green, beautiful. Our Legacy Navy Shawl Collar Jumper Head Porter Plus Olive Ringsnap Shirt- probably my favorite piece. Our Legacy Madras Shirt Oliver Spencer Navy Gingham Shirt Nom de Guerre Grey Overshirt Real McCoy Raw Denim Jeans Yuketen D-Ring Hunt Boots, Brown Adidas Originals “Hide and Seek” Stan Smith 80s TF Waste Twice Linen Parka Jacket Lanvin for H&M Pea Coat, Merino cardigans- really suprised by these. Monocle X Porter Baby Boston Bag In between: Uniqlo Chinos Urban Research Chambray Trousers Worst: Universal Works Chambray shirt- way too big, but nice. Dania denim jeans- way too small, long story. Bought in Kojima, store closed and went in through the workshop, where they let me in to the store. Air conditioning turned off, 37'C outside, instansly covered in sweat and couldn't get the jeans on so had to guess they would fit ok. Not likely!

My favorite purchase this year was a lightweight dries jacket from B&S and wore for the latest contest. Wear it all the time, way too much really but been looking for something like it for a while.

Used Allen Edmond Leeds in Cordovan leather (free from give away), got them re crafted. They look and feel new.

Rayban Sunglasses with clear prescription lens, yes I know every other hipster/college kid has them as glasses now, but I really like them.

Levis 514 - fit the best out of all the cheap jeans I've tried.

    Worst:
    Trying to get cheap jeans,
Bought a couple pair of Arizona brand jeans at the mall, quality is really bad.

Fruit of the loom/Hanes Undershirts - Horrible quality, collar all wrong after washing and won't stay straight.

JCrew merino wool sweater in Small that was way to friggin big, gave it to a friend who is a medium in everything and it fit him perfectly

    Undecided:
BB Black Fleece Suit - not sure if the non-darted jacket looks good

Red chambray. Looked horrible with my skin tone. Thank god I didn't pull the trigger on the EG one, and instead bought and promptly returned the peasant version from the gap.
