I know ther've been some earlier posts about how to take care of one's leather pieces, especially in shoes and jackets.

I just wanted a new centralized discussion about how people guide how their leather goods age. What got me started was the redmoon craze, I haven't recieved mine yet (it's at my other adress) but when I do I want to know how to properly take care of it.

What products do you use on shoes/gloves/jackets to make the leather look certain ways? I wanna know the diffirent outcomes of the variety of treatments that our leather goes through over the years.

I have found that if you mink oil everything once a year, things last indefinately. Mink oil will make lighter colors darker, however. I have seen co-workers buy beautiful leather things, wear them to death for about four years, and they end up looking crappy.
