Got some Courtlands a week or two ago. Surely this isn't normal:

What's the issue? the sticker residue on the heel that will wear off the first time you go outside?

Edit: Oh, the half sole length. Yeah probably not.

 After receiving a couple pairs of defective 1ks myself, I pointed Wolverine customer service to this thread with all the QC complaints. They just don't seem to really give a damn. At least they recognize them as defective.

"SF Fashion is not a valid reseller of our product. They are selling seconds and defects. So the issues that are coming from them are something that we cannot help with since they are seconds"

    Better yet:

if enough people stopped buying them I bet they would get the point.

I have a feeling the people who notice, care, and post to the internet about these things are a very very tiny portion of their customer base.

That's a good point, however I imagine if enough bad reviews were left on Amazon and a few other sites like Nordstrom's it would be a start.

I have a pair of the regular W1K in size 9 and they fit me perfectly.

However, I tried on a pair od size 9 Addison yesterday, the area around the vamp was very tight that I needed to go to 9.5. I thought they are built on the same last?

Anyone have similar experience between the regular and the Addison?

    Spring Forward Deal

Yep, it's time to change the clocks and spring forward. So in honor of changing the clocks here's another deal on 1K boots. It's site wide and if there's something you don't see call the store. Good through Monday.

SPRING20 is the magic word. Should be easy to figure out how much off.

A few questions before I pick up my first pair. I wear a 10D in most dress shoes with a dress sock. Should I assume the same with these boots? I read a few posts throughout this thread where people have sized down half a size and had good results.

I also read about the thickness of socks, toe room, etc. I got measured today and was told again 10 D, maybe slightly more narrow than a D, but 10D seems to work well for me in most cases.

Also, I'm having trouble deciding between Brown and Color 8. Any input?

This is how you get it right when it comes to size. Read the whole thing through and follow the links in the article.

Okay, so I went and actually tried on a 9.5 and used a pretty standard dress sock. They were tight everywhere with a little heel slip and plenty of toe room. They didn't have a 9 to try, but I figure with a padded insert or thick socks, the extra toeroom in the 9.5 was a good thing. However they just felt really uncomfortable. Like the boot doesnt feel comfortable where a toe crease would be. Felt like I was wearing those scuba shoes. Does this go away and break in? It would be my first real boot, so I have no idea what to expect.

They'll be fine and will soon crease appropriately. The two boots will not crease exactly the same, this is to be expected. Feel free to condition the creases if the the leather looks dry.

Did you get properly measured with a Brannock or not?

    Yes,

My toe just barely hits the line for 10. I'm just shy of a "D" width, on the narrow side.
