I also notice that this is not the same lines pattern on the Vibram rubber: the one above have a diagonal lines pattern :D

is it possible to get this different color (brand new)? is it legit? i wanna buy this one but im a lil bit affraid because of this
Are you talking about the color of the sole? The bottom one being a little darker? The bottom sole looks to be butyl to me, which is a thin rubber coating over the leather sole. It provides a little bit of grip. Those came standard on my 744 boots. Not sure if the regular 1000 mile boots come with butyl sole or not, and/or if Wolverine is moving to that sole altogether, or whether there is an option. But yes, both legit soles.

I prefer the colour of the stiching in the top boot and the colour of the nails in the lower .....

Most people wear the same size in both, but I would argue the 1K boots run a bit smaller.

I don't have barrie boots, but I have 3 pairs of Barrie lasted shoes... I wear 9.5D in1k, 9.5E in barrie.

so the barrie last is in general a little narrower.

thanks.

I don't know if barrie is narrower, but wolverine's only wide size is the EEE, which would be way too wide for me. I tried them on in person and the 9.5D fit the best, so that's what I bought.

Also, I tried a 9.5D barrie wingtip recently. It fit my feet pretty well overall, but it was tighter than I like right across the top where the tongue and eyelets start. I could probably wear 9.5D barrie shoes in CXL or suede, but didn't think the shell would give as much.

I am the same in all the 11.5d. But i did manage to get a pair of 10eee 1000 miles and they fit awesome.

I wear a 10.5D 1K and tried on the Alden Indy at JCrew (TruBalance) in 10.5 and it felt too narrow for me.

This is my pair of Wolverine 1000 Mile Austen lacers. Got them online and I really like them but they feel a bit too narrow for me. The sizing is different from the other 1000 Mile boots too. At this point, I want to sell them to someone who will have a better fit. What do you think?
