Just a curiousity question. I was glacing through a book about Winston Churchill in a local university bookstore, reading a bit about his life and looking at the pictures. After looking at a number of pictures when he was PM, I noticed that in each and every picture in which his shoes were seen, he was wearing what looked like a boot-style shoe with a front zipper, and not a discreet zipper, but a large, silver zipper. Not what I would have expected.

Which British shoemaker laid claim to Churchill's shoes?
