just go onto the wings + horns website and look at their measurements and compare it to pants u already have. we dont have the same body dimensions as u do, so only u can make that call.
i'd be so offended if someone said that to me. thats just insulting to the fabric and the piece as a whole

Yes. A little roomier in the toebox than Achilles.

Size up. I have a pair in 29 and they're pretty much true to size. And it's not like they're gonna stretch if you wash them with any regularity.

Westpoints do shrink a bit in the wash as well, if you don't wash cold. The fabric is very tightly woven so it's not huge shrinkage, but when they fit slim, you need to consider it.

looking for a more or less basic dark grey top coat and liking the melton wool mac coat but not at close to $1k

any recs for something similar (single breasted dark grey pea/top coat, more or less basic with slight, interesting details) or any vendors carrying this on sale in size L (assuming this runs true to the rest of W+H sizing)?

This may be slightly heretical, but in my search for a similar Mac Coat, I found the top coats at Club Monaco to be fairly decent:

    http://www.clubmonaco.ca/product/in...43.24767106&ab=ln_men_thelatest_outerwearshop

It's 80/20 wool/nylon, and not as thick as the W+H offerings, but it's more tailored at the waist and the fabric is quite nice -- soft and smooth, but not thin. I was pretty impressed when I saw it in the store, and they had it in camel and black. It's probably not worth full price, but maybe something to keep an eye on during end-of-season sales. The placket is a bit weird, though.

Other than that, I'd like to know what other options there are as well. I've been eyeing the Stephan Schneider wool coats, but they're not as thick. They look and fit great, though...
