Thanks gents! I'm going to wear that suit for a while longer before having any alterations made. The more I look at that pic, the better I think it looks. That grey and brown Vanda is a wonderful fabric. And I know you like that Cappelli and Rubi @Pliny. :D

Is the shirt grey or is that just the lighting?

    It's the lighting.

The shirt is a pretty standard light (but not too light) blue. The suit is blue with some hints of gray, and looks more gray in certain light. The tie has blue, silver, and navy in the weave.

    Suit in direct sun:

    Big difference from lighting there.

Not the best photo, but worn to a wedding last week. RAF wool linen suit, white shirt, greyish wedding tie.

Tiny pics are not in good taste.

Not sure I understand those comments...

    Needy?

Regarding the size, I can't figure out how to make them larger on my phone. It doesn't ask me what size I want it to be the way it does on a regular computer.

EDIT: Nevermind, I got the needy comment.

I was calling Sugar needy for commenting about your small pictures...the lazy bastard just has to click on the image to enlarge [IMG]

If you want to make them larger on your phone, you have to manually change the size to 500x1000. It's pretty easy. What's the fabric on that suit?

Great, I'll do that next time. Thanks. I saw the aspect ratio, but had no idea what numbers to make it and didn't want to screw it up.

Tie too wet? I know not much love for contrast collars.

I'm not a fan of contrasting collars. To me they scream 80's Wall Street or televangelist. IMO, They make older gentlemen look older and out of style. Younger guys look out of style. But, every now and then I see a woman in a tailored jacket wearing a contrasting collar shirt and it looks great in a classic sort of preppy way. Not sure why it works for the female and not the male.

I get what you mean, it was an experiment from 2 years ago, trust me any new shirts are 90% solid blue, white or light pink!

Also understand re women in contrast :slayer:

Contrast collars can be tough. But I think that look would work better with a more sedate tie, like a matte solid (navy for instance, or blue-gray). You already have a lot going on colorwise with the shirt, so a patterned tie risks looking too busy. You want the tie to pull it all together rather than add another element, imho.
