It's light blue. Here's the fabric it's made from:

Conforming completely to tradition today. And a dark bottom coincidentally. No brown tie though:

I think this shirt would look better with a higher collar band empty.

agree with clapey on the collarband empty. some really interesting choices coming out. the pattern of the jacket is so obviously, well, odd. love it! you paired it with a tie pattern that's normally businessy/suity. I suppose some may not like it. I do. the tie is wool I think (?) and its so obviously a deliberate choice along with excellent fit, that clearly you know what you are doing.

These two are both beautiful. Emptym, I seem to recall that jacket was the object of admiration once before (wasn't it held up as a truly great glen plaid sportcoat?), but I'll repeat it now: it's one of the nicest jackets I've seen on here. I like the tie with it, though I'm curious to hear from the crowd that treats "neats" as suit-only ties. I think this one is widely-spaced enough that it works well. I'm not sure how much the square adds. This jacket is so graphic that a white linen TV fold would look good with it -- IMHO, good enough to overcome my white square/blue shirt squeamishness.

Aportnoy, I'm curious about what square you wore (if any), and what shoes you wore (presumably nice ones). Also, what weave is the shirt?

Wish I could post, but I've got another few days of living in jeans ahead of me.

The pocket square is silk with a midnight navy base with tossed foulards in burgundy, silver and olive, The shoes are EG Chelsea in mink suede on the 82 last. And the shirt is Fray in pale light blue with a barely perceptible twill weave.

I wish I had a lifestyle that lent itself to flannel suits with suede captoes.

    Thanks.

Colors are a bit better in this one

Tie is challis maroon actually though, not red.

Edit: take it back, on a computer screen instead of my phone, the close up colors are brighter than IRL.

I was at Ercole's the other day and he had this LL Fox book, very nice book (Alden does have good taste, I must say) and I saw the most gorgeous off navy flannel with a faint chalk. Was not really in the market for one but now I wonder ...

I'm fairly certain the swatches for the LL range are available on the Fox website under the flannel header. They are gorgeous!

How does the LL navy chalk compare with the Harrison's?
