I don't think nay's coat there is gray, it's more like fawn or donkey. and I certainly hope he doesn't have on blue pants.

Diaz, that coat doesn't work for me. Not a good gray odd jacket, too "suity" and the metal buttons make it look really strange.

The buttons are horn and the cloth is rather flimsy, fuzzy and loosely woven (it might look like a worsted in the pictures, I know).

    Does that change anything? [IMG]

Looks odd to me. The difference in shade between the top and the bottom pic is huge. Makes me wonder which is truer and, if the bottom, how the windowpane could possibly be visible in most light.

    Really, it's a suit color/pattern.

It is not as dark as in the full body shot, it's more like the detail pic. But what can be seen of the trousers in the detail looks way darker than IRL.

This jacket was definately in my "get-rid-of" list as my custom wardrobe grows, anyways.

I dislike mitred cuffs but that's good otherwise.

They work well for those of us with bony wrists.

Any reasoning for dislike, or just preference? Which is why they are made like this. Always interested.

My wrist are muscular. (enter Ed joke)

i believe its the way the ends are cut to an angle to form a "V" shape by the closure.

Manton, I guess my question then is, what characteristics would render an odd grey jacket in good taste?

Donegal, herringbone Harris, or a B&W PoW is about all I can stand.

Matching grey pants in the same fabric? The jacket being black/grey houndstooth? Maybe a patterned grey tweed jacket with brown horn buttons and brown cords?

    Today.

Specially for people on this board I did today in the form of photos templates.

These poses and camera angles can adopt a tripod or with another person.

Make such images can be very simple and quick.

The main condition - shooting in daylight. Camera quality is not critical.

I hope these templates will help everyone learn how to take photos at a level that is suitable for watching other people, does not cut the eye and allows us to consider all the details and the quality of fit and tailoring.

Good luck in your business [IMG]
