It's an old Robert Talbott. I've never liked their ties or other clothing, but I have a few pocket squares in my regular rotation. Good silk, interesting patterns and colors, hand rolled edges.

NYI - that tie looks like it belongs to another outfit IMHO. Here's a somewhat similar fit that I did that I think works better because:

    1) jacket fabric more rustic
    2) shirt fabric and styling more rustic/causal
    3) ps not white linen
    4) tie not so earth toned and more contrast in pattern

I think NYR's outfit was fine - actually pretty nice, shoes and all.

Ummm...ok sorry just trying to help. I litter my posts with "I think" and "IMHO" to emphasize that it's all just my opinion and not to claim any superiority. Also the other time I linked myself today it was an example of what not to do. Sometimes pictures are useful in explaining things and I don't know other pictures as well as I know the ones I post. I link to my blog instead of posting images themselves bc I'm on my phone and can copy and paste links but not images.

I don't have a problem with unbel's self-referential pics, especially since he posts links which everyone is free to ignore. You're being too sensitive, Rambo.

Maybe I am a little late on this but how do we kill the ads and sound that keep popping up? I hate having to hunt down the little screen. It makes me not want to buy whatever they are selling ever!

^pop ups? I'm not getting any. I think that's something you can control through your browser.

I like Nore's and NYI's, though I do agree that the tie is probably best used w/ tweed or woolen flannel, the boots are very bright, and the overcoat's fairly informal. The shirt, blazer and pants are just a little too formal for the tie, boots and overcoat imo.

Thanks. It's not very shiny imo. I think the flash made everything shine.

    Yes.

I think this looks good as well. The one thing I would change is the PS which appears to be solid teal (?). I suspect you didnt want to layer in too many other patterns with the shirt and the tie but I think you can do more with it.

Trying a shirt + tie combo that may not be entirely successful:

^ I think the shirt overpowers the outfit. I'm not a huge fan of that tie but i think a plain light blue shirt would make it more appealing and improve the overall effect quite a bit. Alternatively the tie could be switched out for something more conservative. Just one lurkers opinion..
