i dont disagree with you. it makes perfect sense as to why they would ship things out so quickly. just seems that Mr.P is one of the few e-tailers that actually does it

Made a few purchases over Saturday and Sunday on some items that popped up.

What do you guys think of the Mcqueen suit? I haven't bought a RTW in years, Most have been MTM from a tailor in Hong Kong. I'm still not sure if the suit is work appropriate, but I'll try it on when it comes.

No experience with the brand AMI but this seemed nice.

I got that AMI knit in a medium. I'm 5-10, 165. You? (Mine's not here yet.)

If it fits too slim, I'll take yours. If they're too big, you can have mine. Deal?

If the fit is fine everywhere else but you need an inch or two taken out of the waist and maybe the seat tightened up a tailor should be able to do that easily. Find a quality tailor and just take it in and get their opinion.

Hail Mr Porter, full of grace.

So this item arrived:

http://www.mrporter.com/product/303177

They said to size up, but the +1 size was sold out, so I got +2.  I am 56, I bought 60.

Here are the measurements.

http://www.mrporter.com/am/sizechart.mrp?productID=303177&tab=1

I love the pants, but they are too loose, as expected.  When I cinch with a belt, the excess fabric makes pleats :(

There is excess fabric to let out to make the waist bigger, can I get a tailor to make the waist smaller to my size?  Or will that alter the shape/fit of the pants elsewhere like in the thighs and back?

I love these pants, and I don't want to return!

Did you purchase from US or UK? The UK site has 'em in 58.

I got a hanging bag and the pocket square, but the hanging bag was too short for the coat... So, overall a plus on packaging, but it would have been better if they had gotten it right.

These items are 80% off, are you guys honestly going to complain about packaging? If you got your item and it's not damaged, that should be more than enough.

FWIW, every order I placed after the first day has come in box or garment bag.
