Turtlenecks, polos, chinos, boat shoes - basically, the whole summer New England college casual look (if that's what you call it). Ostentatious watches. Rings and bracelets. I am yet to be convinced about monkstraps. And above all, CBD as a whole - I mean I can do it if I have to, but I 99% of the time I don't have to and I am very happy about that.

+1. I'd hoped I wasn't the only one who thought these things are awful.

I've never had cuffs on trousers, and I'm not sure I ever will.

    Loafers

Caps other than flat caps and watch caps

Jewelry other than cuff links and belt buckles

Pocket squares (I have a few, I don't remember the last time I wore one)

Underwear, unless I'm wearing a suit

Tshirts. Haven't owned one in five years.

I don't think most people are posting anything that is a "staple" item, rather just things they don't wear.

I've always wanted to wear saddle shoes but then I realized I'd look like a cartoon.

The definition of staple item is somewhat fluid. Maybe the OP should have made a list and we crossed things off it?

Whatever one considers to be a menswear "staple" judging by whatever gauge they wish -- like general historical consensus, perhaps.

I haven't worn seersucker or tweed since reaching the age of majority. Thinking about getting a tweed jacket, however.

Suede chukkas, and loafers- ambivalent about both but for different reasons. Chukkas too warm, loafers too louche.

Suspenders, contrast collars, any sort of jewelry, tatts, waist-coats, cummerbunds, crew neck sweaters. okay not all staples- [IMG]
