Listening to Cat Power and Elliot Smith today. Also, listened to St. Vincent a bit after having my friends buy tickets to her shows in Dublin and London. Pissed I can't fly over for them though.

Britney's new album, of course- it's fucking amazing! A little 80's pop, a little early 90's techno (ish), very danceable and an overall great product.

Went to see Band of Horses here in NYC at Terminal 5 on Sunday night. Great show, great performers--I had just heard their album the day before. Very tight band, and the singer's voice is great.

No, I'm not a promoter, just a student.

The new album from The Cat Empire, So Many Nights. Still the same old sun-drenched brassy, funky stuff. Perfect spring and summer music. Still deciding if it's as good as Two Shoes but it's still better than most going round.

I saw them at Black Cat last year and it was fantastic. My friend went to last Thursday's show at 9:30 and he said it was equally great, if not better.

I'm still rebuilding my music collection (as some of you may know I gave away/deleted/sold thousands and thousands of mp3s, records and CDs in an effort to start anew), so I don't have much to choose from now. I keep listening to The Books.
