A ticket to The XX's concert is 70€. JFC. BRMC is 28€, Emmilou Harris 45€, QOTSA 45€, Black Keys 40€. Maybe Justin Bieber or The Rolling Stones might be close.

I enjoy BRMC's new album by now. At first it was a little odd but it just needed a few loops. Would've gone to their concert but all tickets were sold out. They played for 2.5 hours.

Juan Sebastian Lach Lau--Islas. This is one of my favorite things I've heard this year. (This is just a sampler video on youtube. It's the best I could find.)

It's definitely better than anything they've done since the howl sessions, in my opinion.

Joy Division, Gang of Four, Kyuss and Fu-Man-Chu. Good stuff.

Watched/listened to Front Row Center, The Beach Boys. While it was interesting to see them together and to see and hear some of the vintage video, the total package was very disappointing.

    Cheers

Also, the new Iron & Wine is really neat. Very jazzy and soulful..

I'll have to check that out.

This album is knocking me dead. Two of the brightest lights in jazz, both of whom were snuffed out far too soon.

    The Pallbearer record is excellent.

I've just been listening to the largest standing ovation in RRHOF history. Of course, for Rush

    +1.

I grew up listening to a lot of George Jones.
