The only Friday the 13th that's worth watching is the original, IMO. I watched it the other night, feeling very nostalgic. I'd completely forgotten that Kevin Bacon was in it!

I have a lot of personal connections with the movie and the series: I used to buy pot from one of the actors when we were in high school, and I was friends with one of the kids who is sleeping in the cabin in the opening bit. Another friend directed one of the later films (same guy who is working on the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre), and while that entry sucked major balls it starred a bunch of kids that I was in drama club with. I probably would have been in it myself if I hadn't moved out of the area.

Complete lies. In case I wasn't clear te 7th film features a psychic chick who rights Jason. Definitely best production value of all the movies.

Just got done watching the 1939 classic Gulliver's Travels on TCM, done by my favorite of the early American animation studios, Fleischer Studios. Now, Mr. Bug Goes to Town is on, and I've never seen it before. Story is okay, but I'm really enjoying the animation so far.

Can't wait for lefty to chime in on this.

Would give argo 6.5/10. A very good story and acting aswell, but a bit boring for me.

Whatever it is that you're smoking, don't bogart, y'feel me?

I've always been annoyed that they took Jason's "return" in the first film, which really only made sense as a dream sequence, and used it as the basis of the franchise. I guess "Friday the 13th Part N: Mrs. Voorhees' Revenge" just doesn't have the same ring.

I hope that Skyfall will actually get Mrs. A out of the house and into the movie theater. Ever since we bought our 60" HDTV she has no desire to go to the theater. :(

    1. Skyfall appears to be a remake of Mission Impossible. NOC list, train fight. Such garbage.

    2. It wasn't a dream. It's not Nightmare on Elm Street for fucks sake.

    3. I guess it's about time they made Parker since Westlake's been dead for a while now.

Lay off the crack pipe, dude. It's a fucking dream ( http://www.fridaythe13thfranchise.com/p/forum.html#nabble-td3778724, http://campblood.shiversofhorror.com/Mistakes/mistakes2.html ), and this will always be the definitive Parker movie (even if the character was renamed Walker):
