What material are these AE's?

    The ad says these are made of leather but I've never seen any leather that looks like the cow was boiled alive in a cauldron of Canola. What the heck is this stuff?

    I've seen a couple pairs of Elephant skin shoes, and these don't resemble them. Sharkskin looks like it might be right though...

    They look like sharkskin to me. IMO, like most sharkskin shoes, they are pretty ugly.

    It's an embossed leather. In other words --the leather is treated and run thru an embossing roller ( like say stamped ).

    Exotic material or not those are some FUGLY shoes.
