Fixed the wiring to the GFCI outlet in the kitchen without electrocuting myself and/or burning the house down.

This is a little premature because buying tools in and of itself isn't manly, but putting them to good use will be. Going to finally get off my arse and do some semi-serious DIY house projects. Being a noob I've been relentlessly reading and you-tubing ahead of time and have definitely seen the wisdom of investing in good tools, so just bought these - a Festool C15 drill and a FEQ 150 sander

    [IMG][IMG]

No, I'm not a Festool fanboy, but after a couple months of research and grinding out comparisons, i finally convinced myself they were the best bang for the buck. Since they aren't cheap, here's hoping my bet pays off...

Wood porch refinish, small siding fix ups, and other overdue projects (rolls up sleeves) - here I come!

...and then, in celebration of the tool purchase (above), I trimmed trees. A lotta trees. 3 stories worth of oak and magnolia booming spring growth overhanging and brushing the house's eaves that I just hadn't noticed until today.

    Done!

Manly needs more lion, less cub. Cool, though. This is how it's done. :slayer:

I haven't checked back in here for quite a while but always thought it was still going strong without me. Sad to see it's withered.

    So, bump.

^ Hey! I did that today! Had to clear out a downspout drain. Also I did the first lawn mowing/etc. of the year and started putting things in the shed that I had built yesterday (decidedly unmanly to have it built).
