Thanks. Yes, but not too much because it's British-Indian. I'm trying to replicate a local place but I still don't know what their secret ingredients are. Unfortunately, they have stopped their delivery service -- it was pretty good. I added coconut milk this time and I think I'm getting closer. So yes, spicy, but a little milder because of the tomato/cream/coconut milk.

Didn't do anything special all weekend, but Friday went to the Studio City restaurant headed by Antonia of Top Chef fame. It was good, and not terribly expensive. I would probably go back. I was with a group of relatives so can't remember everything, but the baby octopus, fennel salad, and burrata were very good. Baby beets and quinoa dishes were nice as well.
The potato chips, shrimp, and bao were all fine but the sauces they were served with all had nacho cheese consistency and overpowered anything dipped into them.

All of the Top Chef restaurants in LA have insane cocktail menus, which is kind of annoying because I want to try them, but I don't like getting hammered while I eat. I stuck to hefeweizen but had a sip of my lady's old fashioned, which was great.

Oh, one big negative. it's louder than the new batman movie in there.

My fat second cousins recommended it. I didn't know until I almost literally ran into her on the way to the bathroom. I think I was enjoying the food more when I thought it was just some unlikely studio city place. I went all judge once I realized it was a contestants.

it would be like the day asian restaurants discovered ketchup and mayonnaise. and then proceeded to douse every single asianized version of western food there is with gobs of both. cuz you know. it's fashionable. and cultured

Balsamic vinegar was also a panko type item. So was edamame. I think pork belly is probably in the running for a couple of years ago, if an entree level protein can be such.
