Hey, I'm Matt and new to denim. Below is picture of what I'm wearing. It's my first pair of expensive jeans. I've heard most of you guys hate on LA designer jeans but, for what it's worth, I'm in the process of purchasing a pair of Dry Regular Ralf Nudies.

    Below:
Howe Standard Baseline Dark (name on tag) (purchased at Villains in S.F.)
    Creative Recreation Cesario High Tops

those jeans aren't bad but they are definately too big on you. i think a loose fit is what you are going for but it looks like you could have sized down about 2 or 3 sizes! if you are going to get a pair of nudies make sure you get your size.

The front side picture makes the legs look a bit more baggy than they actually are. The button hanging down below the belt is probably due to the fact that I haven't washed them yet. It's been about a week since I bought them. In regards to the Nudies, I'm going to get a lower size.

Sauce, nothing wrong with samoas my 2nd most comfortable shoe. Mine are white leather with gucci style embossed trefoils all over haha. How do those apc's fit compared to the ralfs? All the jeans I see here are too skinny for my taste but those look just right. I like something slightly wider than the rr's all the way down.

I like my oversized New Standards. I should wear a 29, or possibly even a 28, but those are 30s. You have to wear them pretty antifit to get the legs to look like that, though--I was in mid-stride, and I don't think the antifit is as apparent in that pic as it is IRL. The NS's in 30 actually fit pretty similar to my Ralfs in a 31 in the legs; the APCs are about an inch larger in circumference at the top of the thighs, the same at the knees, and of course, since they're tapered as opposed to the Ralfs' slight bootcut, noticeably smaller at the leg openings. I "should" be a 30 in Nudies, but instead I have RRDGs in 31, because I liked the fit of the legs better, and a pair of RRDS in 29, turned into a straight leg, which are my pair of skinny jeans. I view waist size as a suggestion.... I love my Samoas, but personally, I'm waiting for boot weather to come back. And sweater weather... jacket weather... coat weather. Frown.

That's cool man, thanks for the info. I'm trying to avoid straight jeans at all costs and I like a slight flare so I guess that rules those out. I'm waiting for cooler weather but I'm not sure I'm ready for it in socal haha.
