Well, you don't want to check 3 threads. Others don't want to see casual in the same thread as CBD. What do we do?

Others are morons, I am not. Therefore we listen to me.

I don't want to have to check 23 threads to get some nice pictures so I'd rather we stop this dividing shit. Maybe it is better to do these threads as image reposts (nice casual mc style with pics from the mc thread, random web images, those james dean/brando whatever pics etc).
I'm with Fuuma on this. Too many of these separate threads.

I am with you, but not if it stops a lot of people from posting. I see a lot more inspirational fits in classical ensembles than casual ones. I'd like to see more of the latter. To get some new ideas. It would be cool if you'd cross-post from SW&D here. Your fits are always very interesting.

I could but, once again, if it becomes too precise its not like I fit in the theme.

If people are intimidated by the current state of WAYW, ain't nothing going to help them.

The bottom line is that posting pics for online critique is a bit scary. Unless we go all Andy's and applaud anything and everything, that isn't going to change.

That's awesome. We could all learn from you to be slightly less uptight with our clothes. Just this photo made me think about trying some white t-shirts outside the house again. I'm really open to new ideas and, hopefully, many others are too. Ideally, we should all just read the SW&D as well. But I'm too lazy and honestly, I do a lot less work than I should thanks to MC alone. Adding another sub-forum would be fatal to my career.

How is that acecow's problem? He doesn't get to police which new threads get created any more than you do. There was nothing left to say on the subject after ace posted the following, yet on we go.

I say we stop with the controversies and just post some interesting (or not) outfits. I see no reason to discuss whether this thread will survive or is useful. Time will tell.

And now I'm off to create my own new thread. Please forgive the impertinence.

I'm with Fuuma on this. Too many of these separate threads.

I would agree. I don't post in them often (would, but taking photos and going through the trouble of uploading them is more effort then I really care to put in on a day to day basis), but I do like to browse on occasion. As somebody who wears clothes over a wide range of formality, the wide variety is nice. If you don't like a look, scroll past it and deal.

I don't see why the WAYWRN can't just be about a MC mindset in all scales of formality and in lifestyle.

Count me in the "pro" camp.

As a person interested in style, but who rarely has occasion to wear a suit or even sportcoat/dress pants, I rather enjoy this compartmentalization. I don't want to look through 30 pics of MC looks and/or 25 pics of near-CBD rigs to see one pic that might provide some inspiration for business casual or weekend casual.

I've been lurking and occasionally posting for years now and have seen hundreds (if not thousands) of great suit looks (CBD and otherwise) and couldn't be happier with the inspiration I've gotten from the WAYWN threads. But, once you've seen that many suit and sportcoat/dress pant combos and have gained a certain understanding of what you like and in what direction you might want move your wardrobe, you begin to gain significantly diminished returns from looking at the relatively narrow scope of MC/CBD threads. That said, there are still some outstanding looks posted every single day. But, I think the casual end of the spectrum has been significantly under-represented and like the idea of having a separate thread.

Why not once a month? Or week or two weeks?

    [IMG] Impeccable logic.

I had to stop wearing red polos- I couldn't get rid of the image of the flash mob that wore red polos and chinos and descended on a hapless Target store.

I am emphatically disagree with this thread. An MC WAYWRN thread isn't the WAYWRN suit and tie thread. It should contain all looks, casual, semi-formal, and formal. There is definitely a distinction between SW&D casual, and MC casual, and the latter belongs in the regular WAYWRN thread.

In truth, I would love to see a separate MC WAYWRN limited to clothes that look good.

    That would be great.

    Who's with me?

I don't see the need to compartimentalize, who cares? In theory this forum should have 1 single WAYWT thread

I'm with Fuuma on this. Too many of these separate threads.

+1, but props to acecow for this "best of" thread.
