God damnit Dark Reign has got to be one of the hardest RTSes I've played, I might just skip it altogether in my list.

Here's a question, what fighting game had the best fatalities?

Killer Instinct was awesome, or at least the 64 version was (Gold), still remember the training in that it was terribly hard towards the end and I was barely being able to beat it, don't think I ever tried beating the game itself on the hardest difficulty. Oh and C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!

Giving up on this damned game, whoever decided to put an artillery that can shoot from 4+ screen lengths away and can't be seen when shooting should be shot, ideally by this same artillery. Gonna be playing Total Annihilation now and then moving on to the original StarCraft which I've played oh so many times but love all the same, I am still mesmerized by the unit handling and balance of StarCraft and really hope StarCraft 2 has the same grace of StarCraft 1, to be honest I have my doubts.

If this game doesn't hit PS3, I'm gonna soo pissed.[IMG] [IMG]
Microsoft is publishing just as they did with Braid, so similarly there'll probably be a year of exclusivity. Edit: I have my doubts about SCII living up to lofty expectations too, XenoX101. [IMG]

Damn. Disappointed in the reviews for Dragon Quest IX. I'm fine with traditional jrpgs and simpler battle systems but i hear it's not much fun to play on your own as they focus a lot on multiplayer stuff and since you create the heroes, they don't have much personality or character development. Which is too bad because while goofy and occasionally childish, DQVIII was a lot of fun to play

Embarrassed to admit I'd totally buy all these shirts if they didn't end up $100 each via proxy:

But if you spend over 10,000 yen you get a free Layton Ecobag

Also, I have been playing Barkley Shut up and Jam: Requiem.

Basically its a homemade RPG (thats actually pretty long and thought out) that stars Charles Barkley in the year 2054 in Neo New York. Its pretty damn goofy too.

Requiem? is that a sequel to shut up and jam: gaiden? which is pretty facking awesome in itself.

I'm having a lot of internal conflict about EVE Online. Do I have fun playing it, or do I not?

I just read Briansd's post above about japanese games being great when they do what they're good at instead of trying to go after what's popular in western video games. DQ9 is a perfect example of a japanese game company and game franchise doing just that and ruining 3-4 years of waiting for some. Maybe japanese fans are having fun multi-player wise though. i dunno

I've been Starcrafting again. Jesus Christ, people on battle.net are real good. Been getting my ass kicked dozens of times. Most of my wins are from 2v2s, where I have had a lot more success as I've found some partners to play with consistently. But 1v1...just get my ass whooped all the time.

this week I managed to play 30 games. I have won all my first 5 matches and got into silver league? 29 games I played versus favored enemies, one was equal. for 2 days first in my league and I dont advance to gold? I have found more bugs in this week than the half year before this ..

Heroes are dumb, unit limit means you cant mass, upkeep is dumb, units aren't as cool, too much emphasis on spells, not modern/futuristic (I prefer it) and less cool soundtrack, etc. This is very much my opinion, but those who don't like WC3 would share more than one of these reasons.
